Luckily for me a few years ago I came across this product for my dog's skin issues. Not only does this product leave my dog smelling so amazingly good and not overpowering but it is the only skin product that actually helps resolve my dogs issues. I love the fact that you do not need to rinse this product out as my dogs patience by the time we use conditioner is long gone!

addendum to review

I want to make a correction on the scent. Couldn't find a way to edit my original review hence this addendum. The shampoo smells herbal and grassy but the conditioner reminds me of violets, slightly sweet scent. Both are pleasant and not overly perfumed. My DVM Acupuncturist actually commented on how nice he smelled and that was 3 days after he was bathed.

Well Balanced Formula, not greasy

I previously never used conditioner on my Samoyed because their outer coat is not supposed to be soft however due to recurring Staph skin infection I have to bathe him weekly usually with a 4% chlorhexidine shampoo. After a while this tends to be drying so I began using a conditioner. So far I like Zymox Enzymatic the most for the following reasons: -it is not greasy & does not leave a greasy residue so it is not necessary to rinse it completely out -when diluted I can actually use it as a spray on leave in conditioner -since the chlorhexidine shampoo kills all the bacteria on the skin both good & bad, I like that the enzyme help restore the natural microbial balance on the skin -it smells really nice! Not perfumey or too strong, just a light fresh scent that I can best describe perhaps as herbaceous. Like fresh cut grass, lavender, etc but not overly minty. Zymox products are a bit pricey but I have found that they work fairly well and are better than most other products I've tried.
