My lab had really bad eye boogers and was consistently scratching at his sides. I started giving him these soft chews on Sept 7th, and by Sept 14, he wasn't scratching and he didn't have gross eye boogers anymore.

We have senior two yellow labs and have been using this product for years. Both dogs showed noticeable improvement in joint stiffness. No idea how it tastes, but the dogs seem to enjoy them.

I have used Proflora for my working labs for years. The old saying “you get what you pay for” is so true with this product. It works as my labs are regular and their leavings are good.

I am using these for my goldens morning probiotics and a different kind for his evening probiotics. I'm using two different kinds so that he doesn't miss anything he should have. I like these chews because my Golden likes to chew on treats. In the evening he gets powder probiotics that I'm using.

I like Proflora Plus Probiotic Soft Chews.
So I ordered it on July 2nd.
However, until August 2018, the product received the expiration date.
180 counts in 3 packs ...
I have a 1.6kg (3.5lb) dog.
I can not afford a refund or exchange.
Because I live in a foreign country, I receive it through the delivery agent.
Please check again next time.

My senior dog was having tummy issues including loose stools and diarrhea. I decided to try this product for her. She has been taking it daily for a few months and her loose stools have cleared up and tummy issues seem to be mostly resolved. I am attributing this to the ProFlora. Excellent product in my eyes!

My 12-year old mini-poodle LOVES ProFlora probiotic chews! She expects one EVERY morning before her breakfast! This is an excellent product and truly helped Cookie with her digestive issues. We've tried other probiotic chews at 3x the price - but these are just as good (if not better) and very reasonably priced by comparison! YAY!

However, Entirely Pets autoship system is not up to par. Be careful when you set this up with them.

I started giving these probiotics after our 125 lb yellow lab had knee surgery and was on antibiotics. He loves it. The rest of our large brood got a taste of it - and they line up in the morning for their 'treat.' I just wish they were more effective in controlling the 'gassy explosions.'

Keeps their digestion healthy
January 21, 2017
We have three long-haired dachshunds. They are each sensitive to certain foods. Also, two of them have had to take antibiotics due to surgery recently. About a year ago, we started giving them Proflora Plus Probiotic soft chews as an after-meal treat. The incidence of diarrhea has been non-existent since then, where normally they would have difficulty after a round of antibiotics. Plus they just love these chews!

Excellent Purchase!

The powder form of this was given to my dog during his chemotherapy days and it helped him a great deal easing any stomach issues and no diarrhea at all during treatment. Fast forward to a rambunctious PitBull who has room clearing gas issues. After a short discussion with the vet it was suggested that I try these on a more long term basis. I refer the chewies over the powder because the powder gets sprinkled on the food and chewies are taken after eating. It's like putting rolaid in your food and hoping it works rather that eating and then taking the Rolaid - it works much better with food in your stomach. My dog seems to love them and thinks they are a treat for her. While they don't completely take away her problem, her room clearing days seem to be over and the gas issue is minimal for now.

Great product. I live in the country and the dogs pick up and eat everything that falls to the ground. Visiting mice, rabbits, deer, foxes, coyotes leave their deposits. This product has saved my life, and my carpet shampooer.

These work great!

Pitbulls are notorious for gas issues and mine are no different! I started given this to my Rat Terrier who was going through chemo at the time and it helped his digestive issues. Now , my Pitbull has gas issues and this seems to improve the situation drastically. She does love the taste of them and thinks she's getting a treat too. While it doesn't take her problems away completely it certainly reduces them and we can all breathe a bit easier!

I have a mixed 9 year old shih tzu and she's much smaller than the average shih tzu. She is no more than 7 pounds. Do I cut the chews into quarters? What is the recommendation to give these to her?

The recomendations on the bag says under 30 lbs give 1 chew a day. My dogs have had these since they were puppies. Im sure you could start with 1/2. I have never had any trouble or side effects. My dogs love them.

I have been using Proflora for a number of years now on my 11 yr. old female shepherd and up until his death, on a very large G. shepherd male. Â Both did and Ursa the female still does do well on getting 2 chews a day. Â I would at least give Proflora a try and see how your pooch does with it. Â I would start with 1/2 chew 2X a day, give that at least a week and see what comes of it. Â The good thing about the Proflora is an "overdose" will not, as far as I know (and I have thought about this a bit) be any problem. Â Our canines are short on adequate gut "critters" as most all are fed canned or kibble or cooked foods and as such, there just are not active gut flora critters in such foods. Â We humans are short on these extremely important microbes in our gut do to all sorts of issues (I take a gut flora "fertilizer" if you will, as we humans are usually short of a good blend of microbes in our gut and we suffer from it as well). Â I hope this helps. Â I will say once again, give it a try.........

How do the "live" bacteria live when they are in a dried form...doesn't that kill them so that they are not effective? Most live bacteria needs to be refrigerated I believe. Confused by this! Any ideas?
1 Answer
Many probiotic bacteria are naturally sensitive to heat and moisture. Heat can kill organisms and moisture can activate them within pills, only to die due to lack of nutrients and a proper environment. These products should ideally be refrigerated and kept out of humidity. However, probiotics with freeze-dried organisms (which includes most sold as supplements in tablet or capsule form) and in packaging to prevent moisture, such as blister packs, generally do not need refrigeration or to be kept out of humidity but should still not be exposed to heat above room temperature. They also have longer shelf-lives than products containing live cultures, such as yogurts and drinks (which must be refrigerated). Probiotic yeast and some of the spore-forming bacteria, such as Bacillus coagulans, generally do not require refrigeration.

1 Chew?
1 Answer
1 chew is fine for any dog under 40 lbs, so our 11 lb dog should be fine with one and it does not need to be split into multiple pieces.

My 5 year old toy fox terrier recently was prescribed pro-pectalin tablets from the vet to help with her digestive systemas she would get a frequent gurgling noise from her stomach and not eat for the day. She never had an issue with diarrhea and is always active though not eating. The pills do seem to help. I am wondering if this proflora does the same thing as pro-pectalin as I like the idea that it looks more like a treat.
1 Answer
Yes- like Pro-Pectalin, Proflora combines the probiotic bacteria with a prebiotic fiber to improve the quality of the microflora in your pet's gastrointestinal tract; however, Proflora actually includes more probiotics than Pro-Pectalin and is available as a delicious soft chew for your dog!
