Useful Information
We only require a few strands of hair–10 to 15 strands (length of hair does not affect results but at least an inch of hair is preferred).
We can test any body hair (from the head is ideal) & hair dye does not affect testing results.
Samples should include the hair root, however we understand it may not be an option for everyone. If cutting the hair, please ensure you cut as close to the root as possible.
Once hair sample is collected, please place strands into a small plastic bag. Mail the hair sample with the completed information sheet, page 2, to the address on information sheet.
Test results should be received within `7-10 business days after receiving sample at our processing center.
Please ensure correct postage is paid. Incorrect postage can cause major delays to the processing time. Additionally, Affordable Allergy Test is not liable to pay these fees (your package may be returned).
Please ensure hair samples are sealed and clearly labeled.
Do not send hair samples in metal foil or other metallic packaging.
Please be careful not to include other items in the same bag as your hair sample as this can affect testing.
