Kyla is a 7 year old Pitbull Mix who we adopted from the MSPCA as a puppy after she was found in an abandoned basement. She came in to be spayed at the animal hospital I work at and went home with me. Since then, she's been an absolute joy and brought such love & laughter into our lives.

At 10 months old, we learned that she had severe bilateral hip dysplasia. Her x-rays were shocking and I couldn't imagine how she was even walking, let alone chasing tennis balls at high velocity speeds. She has since had two FHO surgeries and is doing remarkable. Her disability has never slowed her down and her zest for life and outgoing nature are stronger than ever. Her resilience was especially inspiring to me; I broke my back in a motorcycle accident a few years prior and had a long & difficult recovery. So, now we both have scars which we proudly wear as badges of courage. Kyla is truly an amazing & beautiful dog and I can't imagine life without her.
