How It Works
"Dental treats or dental chews work with mechanical action similar to how your tooth brush works, where it will scrape the surface of the tooth and help brush away plaque and tartar that can accumulate that can lead to more serious problems. So, as a veterinarian, I look for a product that has a flexible chewy texture that's going to allow a dog's teeth to sink in up to the gum line. It's going to lead to a lot better oral health for your dog." - Dr. Bradley Quest

How to Remedy Bad Dog Breath
So what can you do? Practice a dental care routine with your dog and take the right preventative measures to keep your dog happy and healthy for a lifetime. Here are three easy ways to care for your dog's mouth:
- Regular Veterinary Exams and Cleanings: Your vet can help spot and treat problems before they become more serious issues.
- Avoid Feeding Your Dog Table Scraps: Your dog may love table scraps, but human food may increase the buildup of plaque and tartar on your dog's teeth.
- Dental Treats for Dogs: Between your regular veterinary exams and cleanings, feed your dog specially designed oral care snacks and treats, such as GREENIES™ Dental Treats. These treats are accepted by the VETERINARY ORAL HEALTH COUNCIL to help control tartar buildup. Giving your dog a GREENIES™ Dental Treat each day is a great way to help promote oral health.

FAQS
FAQ
All GREENIES Dental Treats have a bendable and chewy texture that allows teeth to sink in and help scrape away plaque and tartar. Our Dental Treat works with a dog’s natural chewing action to maximize plaque and tartar reduction. Dogs can manipulate the dental chew in different parts of their mouths for maximum tooth contact.
- For best results, give one (1) GREENIES Canine Dental Treat a day to help prevent oral health issues between regular veterinary cleanings.
- Pets should always be supplied with fresh drinking water while eating dental chews. Not intended for dogs less than five pounds or under six months of age.
- ATTENTION: Always monitor your dog to ensure the treat is adequately chewed. As with any edible product, gulping can be harmful or even fatal to a dog.
