This is George Bailey Boring who is 13.5 years old and the photo is him at Lake Tahoe on the Truckee River Boat ride. He had a blast on the river and met lots of other dogs to play with when we stopped for a swim. We named him George Bailey after the character in “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Bailey was in a shelter when we first met and wouldn’t even try to make eye contact…just had his head down and looked pretty pathetic. He was only four months old but I think it had been a rough existence for him during that time. We knew he would be a big dog and almost decided not to get him but as we were driving away from the shelter I couldn’t stop thinking about him and all the possibilities of what he could be. So….we turned the car around and adopted Bailey to try to give him a wonderful life. He came home to meet his “brother” Jake who was two at the time and our cats Casey and Brandy. | |||||||||||||||
