This infographic looks at budget saving ways you can put your creative DIY talents to good use making your own games, kennel and feeding station for your dog. You don't need to have any specific skills, just a penchant for making your own bespoke items for your family pet. The infographic provides easy to follow instructions and includes a difficulty level indicator. Start with projects with one doggy difficulty and progress to the more advanced ideas at your skills and confidence grow.

A kennel is a good idea for a dog, giving them shade in the summer and a place to dive into out of the rain in the cooler months. Armed with a few planks of plywood, nails, screws and some basic tools you can knock-up a dog house in very little time. If you want to be thrifty you can recycle wood, just as long as it is pet friendly and not treated with potentially harmful chemicals.

If making your own dog house sounds a little ambitious you can always make dog toys, like a tug-of-war, from an old pair of jeans or a treat ball using a tennis ball or a feeding station. Whichever of these doggy DIY projects you choose you'll have fun making them and your best friend will love using them!

John Ridley is a dog lover who is unfortunately unable to have dogs, in part because he’s never been able to find anywhere to work that is dog-friendly! He is, however, the owner of two adoring cats. Well, they tolerate him and let him bring them food at least. This piece was created for the leading stationary suppliers Euroffice.
