Story This is our 10 1/2 year old Great Dane, Chevis. She is still very much our baby girl despite her age. She is such a blessing to us, she has had some rough times lately, losing muscle mass in her hind legs & a bit of arthritis causing her to occasionally lose her balance. It’s been very hard for us to watch her body start to decline, we’ve been trying everything possible to make her quality of life the best in her elder years. She is currently doing acupuncture and surprisingly loves it! She had bloat at age 5 and was a success story post surgery. I’m very thankful for all of the joy and happiness her big personality brings to everyone she encounters. She is truly a kind spirit and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Our vet said that her eyes say she has so much life left to live...I am truly thankful for each and every day with her! If I had one wish, it would be for my best friend, Chevis, to live forever. And I would love to be able to adopt every homeless Great Dane so they too could experience all that innocent doggy life should be about...love, kindness & happiness.
