K9s For Warriors is a non-profit organization that supports veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI) by pairing them with a specially trained service dog. These dogs were selected from shelters and trained to help soldiers anticipate and endure stressful situations to help them adjust to civilian life.

This allows each dog to undergo the Assistance Dog International certified training needed to provide unparalleled emotional support to their soldiers.
Service dogs need to be trained to identify the onset of seizures, panic attacks, and other medical issues to fulfill their duties as assistance dogs. This training requires ample resources including medication to ensure that the dogs stay healthy and fit for service; and for this reason, the organization has made K9 Advantix II their official flea & tick preventive.
Additionally, Bayer is sponsoring a team of ten shelter-to-service dogs for the full expenses of their training and adoption.
