Before Opening the Package
Know What K9 Advantix II Protects Against
- Repels and kills Ticks including Deer ticks, American dog ticks, Brown dog ticks, Lone Star ticks
- Reples and kills fleas and biting mosquitoes
- It also protects dogs by killing and/or repelling biting flies.
It's for Dogs Only
Make sure not to apply K9 Advantix II to cats, as it contains a compound that could be fatal.
Keep your treated dog away from all cats for a full 24 hours.
Contact your veterinarian immediately if K9 Advantix II is applies to eaten by a cat.

Choose the Right Size
It's important to make sure that you have the right formula for your dog. Do not use on dogs under seven weeks of age. Check your dog's weight and consult with your veterinarian to ensure that any medications your dog is currently taking are compatible with K9 Advantix II.

Don't Eat It
Additionally, this compound should not be consumed, so be sure to prevent your pet from ingesting K9 Advantix II. K9 Advantix II is a topical solution and should be applied directly to your pet's skin on the back of his or her neck. The solution will spread throughout his or her system within the first day of application and will kill most fleas and ticks within the first 12 hours.
How Often Does My Dog Need Application?
K9 Advantix II should be applied monthly and preferably on the same day each month to ensure that fleas and ticks stay repelled from your dog. If you miss a monthly dose then it should be applied as soon as possible to ensure flea and tick infestation is prevented. If multiple doses are missed, do NOT apply more than one dose at a time. Instead, resume a monthly schedule and inform your veterinarian.
Application
- Holding the applicator upright, remove the cap from the tube.
- Flip the cap over and put it back on the tube.
- Twist the cap to break the seal then remove it from the tube.
- Follow directions below based on your dog's weight:
While the dog is standing, separate a patch of hair on the back of the dog's neck between his or her shoulder blades. Once a patch of healthy skin is visible, place the tube's tip directly on your dog's skin and squeeze the entirety of the tube's contents directly onto the skin. Do NOT massage it into the skin and do NOT apply to wet skin. Make sure to keep K9 Advantix II away from your dog's eyes and mouth.
- Once the tube is empty, properly dispose of the empty tube.
Proper Storage When Not in Use
Store your package in a cool and dry place until you are ready to use. Also protect K9 Advantix II from freezing. Keep it away from children and pets.
How to Dispose of Used Tubes
Empty tubes should not be re-used for any reason. Place it in the trash offer for recycling.
Partly filled tubes should never be emptied into any drain. Please call your local solid waste company or (800) 422-9874 for disposal instructions.
